Kathryn Tringale is an undergraduate Biomedical Engineering student at Brown University who has been working in Dr. Leigh Hochberg’s lab since the fall of 2010. She was awarded the Karen T. Romer Undergraduate Teaching and Research Award to conduct research in the field of communication for people with paralysis using neural interfaces. After graduating in May 2012, she plans to attend medical school to continue studying and researching neurology and biomedical technology.
