Sergey Stavisky is a research assistant at the Providence VA Medical Center and Brown University. Sergey received his Sc.B with Honors in Neuroscience from Brown University in 2008, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. His undergraduate focus was on computational and systems neuroscience, culminating in a thesis on decoding visually-evoked local field potentials in inferotemporal cortex based on his experimental neurophysiology work in the laboratory of Dr. David Sheinberg. Sergey is working on the next generation of the BrainGate2 software and is involved in day-to-day clinical research operation and data analysis.
