Nick Schmansky is a software engineer at Massachusetts General Hospital. He splits his time between the BrainGate team (joining in January 2011), and the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. With BrainGate, he is responsible for developing and testing of some of the hardware and software components of the BrainGate2 Neural Interface System, with an eye on the goal of a portable system implementation.
Nick received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Ohio State University in 1991, an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh in 1999, and an M.A. in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University in 2006. He has almost 20 years of commercial and scientific software development experience.
