Anish Sarma is a research engineer with the BrainGate2 team at Brown University. He joined BrainGate2 as a Brown undergraduate in 2010 and received a Sc. B in Electrical Engineering in 2012, with an undergraduate thesis that investigated real-time decoding and simulation of local field potential oscillations in the primary motor cortex of people in the BrainGate2 clinical trial. He now works on research and development for the BrainGate2 Neural Interface System, with a focus on the use of adaptive, data-driven methods to enable stable, continuous control of external devices.
