Mark L. Homer is pursuing a doctorate degree in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Brown University. His special focus lies in advanced techniques for decoding neural ensemble activity as well as computational neuroscience. He joined the Braingate2 team in June 2009 and works under the advisorship of Dr. Leigh Hochberg. Career experiences in biotechnology and aerospace industries have revolved around the analysis of complex dynamic systems, everything from bioreactors to Mars landers to the stress response of the autonomic nervous system. He received his M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 1995.
